Arkalon Park is located 10 Miles Northeast of Liberal on U.S. Highway 54.

Dates Open:  April 1, 2018 - October 15, 2018.

Hours:  7:00 A.M. - 10:00 P.M., 7 days a week.

Fishing Rules

1.  Fishing Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 7 days a week.

2. A Kansas State Fishing license is required and all   Kansas State fishing rules must be complied with.

3.  The fish in the Arkalon Ponds have been designated by       the Kansas Department of Health & Environment, as Catch and Release Only - Not for Consumption, as the ponds contain wastewater effluent.  Signs have been posted at the ponds.

4, No trotlines, bank lines or other type of lines are allowed.

5.  No nets are allowed in the taking of fish.

6. Creel limit of five (5) channel catfish per day - no length limit.

7. Creel limit of five (5) largemouth bass per day. Minimum length limit for largemouth bass is fifteen inches (15”).

8. No boats, floating tubes, swimming or wading are allowed.

9.  All persons under the age of thirteen (13) must be

accompanied by an adult at all times.

10. All fishing licenses are subject to be checked at any time.

11. The removal of bait fish (sunfish & minnows) is prohibited.


Tax deductible donations are accepted for future improvements to the Park made payable to the "Friends of Arkalon Park, Inc.".
