On Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 the Liberal City Commission addressed the following items during their regularly scheduled meeting:
The meeting opened with a special proclamation in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Consent Agenda items (Convention & Visitors Center Board minutes and Code Enforcement statistics) were approved by the Commission.
Commissioners voted to approve Resolution No. 2440 authorizing application for the Kansas Department of Transportation’s Transportation Programs grant opportunity. The Commission also approved Resolution No. 2441 authorizing staff to apply for the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks’ Recreational Trails Program grant.
Resolution No. 2442 was approved to abate 13 inoperable nuisance vehicles from various property locations within city limits.
The Commission approved updated Title VI language required to comply with federal law and qualify for transit program operational grants.
Commissioners voted to approve the purchase of 12 ballistic vests for the Liberal Police Department.
The next regularly scheduled Liberal City Commission meeting will take place October 28th, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
