Fire Safety Facts
Every day Americans experience the horror of fire. But most people don't understand fire. Only when we know the true nature of fire can we prepare ourselves and our families. Each year more than 4,000 Americans die and approximately 20,000 are injured in fires, many of which could be prevented.
Burn Regulations
Fireworks are banned in Liberal and Seward County
During the past several years, we have had quite of few fire calls that turned out to be residents that were just burning their gardens, tree limbs, tumbleweeds, etc. Or they were roasting meat in an open pit fire in their yards, and they did not notify the fire department of their intentions. This resulted in fire trucks and personnel being dispatched out to their homes for a false call.
