VIN Inspections

A VIN inspection is required by Kansas law for certain vehicle transactions, such as bringing a vehicle into the state or when applying for a title without a current Kansas record.

What to Bring

To complete your VIN inspection, please have:

• Valid driver’s license

• $20 fee (cash or check only)

• Vehicle title

  • If no title: A copy of the title that has been signed and stamped by the County Treasurer’s Office

• Vehicle must be present at the time of the inspection

Hours of Service

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• No inspections on Fridays
