On Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 the Liberal City Commission addressed the following items during their regularly scheduled meeting:
Consent Agenda items (airport leases and cereal malt beverage applications) were approved by the Commission.
The Commission voted to approve the purchase of a backhoe for use by the Water Department. The new unit will replace a 2006 model, which will move to the Wastewater Department for continued use.
Commissioners also voted to approve a new salt spreader which will replace an existing unit which is beyond repair. Funds for the purchase will come from the Snow Removal Reserve Fund.
The Commission voted to approve a quote from J&R Construction Group for a profile milling and overlay of the paved road at Arkalon Park during the off-season. The project is on the 2026 capital budget with funds coming from the Streets, Drainage, and Capital Improvement portion of the One-Cent Sales Tax.
The next regularly scheduled Liberal City Commission meeting will take place November 11th, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
