Liberal opens voting for art mural final design

The City of Liberal is collecting votes on the final design of Liberal’s community mural project. Three distinctive designs have been created, and voting will be open for several weeks for residents to choose their favorite design. 

Design 1: A simple background with large letters.

Residents of all ages are encouraged to vote using the link on the project website at www.cityofliberal.org/art. The survey is available in English and Spanish, with paper surveys and additional language assistance services are available at City Hall, 324 N. Kansas Ave. 

The mural will be located at Light Park facing Kansas Avenue. The mural will be painted by local artist, Karem Gallo, by Summer 2025. The project is funded in part by a grant from the Kansas Arts Commission.
